SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – (Good Things Utah) In honor of Veterans Day, GTU wants to share ways we can serve those who have served for us. Gary Harter of the Utah Department of Veterans Affairs and Military Affairs shared the events taking place in Beehive State to honor veterans on Veterans Day weekend. Harter and Governor Spencer Cox first wanted to express their gratitude to the veterans living in Utah who served and their families.

Harter, a veteran himself, wants to make Utah the best state for those who have served in the military. Regardless of whether one served in World War II or even today, veterans and active duty service members deserve recognition and assistance. To accomplish this, collaboration with state and federal military and veterans organizations is essential. Harter says we need to make sure all veterans’ needs are met, including education, health care, employment and general well-being.
