Cancel the committee on culture at work | Opinion | Salt lake city

It looks like Sarah Palin’s “death signs” have been replaced by the “Culture Cancellation Commission” – the formidable Triple C. Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum has tire marks on his face after having said: “There is not a lot of Native American culture in American culture”, on CNN, where he was a commentator. Canceled. The Associated Press (AP) just fucked journalist Emily Wilder because when she was a Stanford student and a member of Students for Justice in Palestine, she tweeted that the late Sheldon Adelson – who was a Jewish billionaire, Republican mega-donor and staunch defender of Israel – was a “naked mole rat.” Wilder is also Jewish. Pity. Canceled. Triple C has yet to gag Georgian MP Marjorie Taylor Greene, who said wearing a mask was like being sent to a Nazi concentration camp. But his BFF rep, Matt Gaetz, is on the verge of getting the Big C for things we can’t repeat here at the family Smart Bomb. The staff here know Cancel Culture all too well. Wilson and The Smart Bomb Band were canceled from Salt Lake City Hall after settling under the window of Mayor Erin Mendenhall’s office and performing a rendition of “The Sound of Silence.” Canceled. What are you going to do?

The Boogeyman is coming
What you don’t see can hurt you. And, frankly, you should be afraid. Otherwise, you might have to vote for the Democrats. This is why the Utah Legislature has taken proactive steps to ensure that our freedoms are not curtailed until we become a place like France or Australia. Utah, like other forward-looking places like Idaho and Virginia, is paving the way for freedom and has made the Beehive State a “Second Amendment sanctuary.” Now these jackbooted thugs aka Democrats cannot take away our right to defend against tyranny. Our sanctuary will make firearms available to all red-blooded Americans upon request –no background check! And they won’t be able to reduce our murderous power either –no limits on magazines! Federal gun laws are not binding here because we are true patriots! And that’s not all: when all these Black Lives Matter folks come to tell us how to run our schools – well, they can take a hike because our Republican lawmakers won’t let them teach this critical history of racial theory, which is about as bad as the theory of evolution. Whenever these left-wing socialists want to force their stuff on us, they call it a theory – which is common talk for bullshit. So keep voting Republican, and we’ll all be rich someday.

No vaccine for the ass insanity pandemic
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) does not know how it is transmitted. It can be in the air or in the water. It can come from radio or television waves. But one thing is clear, it is spreading like wildfire. Remember how before the January 6 insurgency a plane laden with people started yelling “traitor” at Senator Mitt Romney? And I think some of those people were Mormons. And then on January 6, Donald Trump cried out to his servants, “We are fighting. We are fighting like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you won’t have a country.” It’s like wicked madness is some kind of fashion or style, like cuffs on pants – it just happens to be “in” right now. And there is no vaccine. Fewer Americans go to church – the place where we learn that Jesus preached against wicked madness. But what about some of these evangelicals who go to church? Dude, some of them get pissed off about just about everything. A nasty crowd surrounded a man at Dulles Airport in DC and demanded to know if he was a Democrat. He escaped with his life. So if someone walks up to you and growls, “Are you a Democrat?” simply say: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” And then run like a devil.

Postscript“We still live in the Old West – even though you’re in Baltimore. Last Saturday in this country in six different shootings, 12 people were killed and 41 were injured. It’s just Saturday. But, hey, as former Fox news host Bill O’Reilly once said, “It’s the price of freedom.”

In March 1996, in Scotland, 16 children aged 5 and 6 were shot dead with their teacher. Later that year, the UK banned handguns. In April 1996, an isolated gunman killed 35 people and injured 23 others in Australia. Later that year, Australia banned semi-automatic rifles and shotguns and imposed strict licenses. Its buyback program has recovered more than 640,000 guns and 60,000 non-banned guns have also been returned. Gun-related deaths have fallen 72%.

On October 1, 2015, in Las Vegas, 60 were killed and 411 injured by a single gunman shooting at a music festival from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas. Surprise: the United States did nothing.

In New Zealand, on March 15, 2019, a gunman killed 51 people and injured 40 in two mosques. Less than a month later, New Zealand banned all assault rifles. More than 50,000 people have been surrendered. Asked about the matter by CNN, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said: “I don’t understand the United States”

Well, Wilson, just because you got canceled by Mayor Mendenhall doesn’t mean you and the band can’t play Lyle Lovett and Johnny Cash songs about life and death:

I hear the train coming
He rolls around the bend
And I haven’t seen the sun since I don’t know when
I’m stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps dragging
But this train keeps on rolling to San Antone

When I was just a baby my mom told me
“Son, always be a good boy, never play with guns”
But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die
When I hear that whistle I bow my head and cry

I bet there are rich people who eat in a fancy dining car
They probably drink coffee and smoke big cigars
Well i know i got it coming, i know i can’t be free
But these people keep moving
And that’s what tortures me

Well if they freed me from this prison
If this train was mine
I bet I would move it a little further down the line
Away from Folsom prison, this is where I wanna stay
And I’d let that lonely whistle blow my blues
