Death notice of Adrien Townsend (1981 – 2021) – St. George, UT


March 11, 1981 – October 29, 2021

Adrien Amelia Townsend, 40, was returned to her Heavenly Father, with a loving family by her side, on October 29, 2021, after a courageous battle with pneumonia and sepsis. Adrien was born on March 11, 1981 in Provo, Utah, to John Townsend and Joan (Adams) Townsend.

Adrien attended Orem High School and Salt Lake Community College, where she obtained a degree in graphic design. Before moving to southern Utah, Adrien worked for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a graphic designer. In 2014, Adrien became a Media / IT / IT Specialist for the Washington County School District at Water Canyon Elementary and High School in Hilldale, Utah. Recently, Adrien added Water Canyon Computer Educator to his portfolio. She adored her coworkers and cherished the joy the children of Water Canyon brought into her life.

Adrian’s passions were a strong testament to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, travel, music, and art. She was a talented artist in multiple mediums including jewelry making, drawing and painting. Adrien is survived by his father John (Becky) Townsend, his mother Joan (Adams) Townsend, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her sister Andrea Shearer, baby brother Jared Townsend, baby brother Maren Townsend, grandparents and many other relatives.

The funeral will be on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Red Cliffs 8th Ward, 625 E. Center Street, Ivins, Utah. A visit will take place before the service from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Internment will take place at Tonaquint Cemetery, 1777 S. Dixie Dr, St. George, Utah.

The family would like to thank the many friends, family and colleagues for the outpouring of love and support for both Adrien and his mother during this difficult time.
