Edna Grace Myers and Seward D. Nichols

Edna “Grace” (Myers) Nichols, 76, was called to Heaven on August 26, 2007. She was born on March 26, 1931 to Ray Wayne Myers Sr. and Edna Viola Smith in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania. She married Seward D Nichols, Jr on October 11, 1956 in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a loving wife; amazing mother; and devoted daughter and sister. She grew up on a small farm in Pennsburg with her brother “Buddy” (Ray Wayne Myers, Jr.). Moved to St. Petersburg, Florida in his late teens and worked in his father’s seafood market. She loved the flower gardens, the tall beautiful trees and the long Sunday drives. Grace played the piano by ear and sang in the church choir. She was a wonderful chef and passionate about arts and crafts. She is survived by her daughter Penny Arvanitas and her son-in-law Woodrow Arvanitas; grandson Jared Arvanitas and great grandchildren Jayson and Kyleah; grandson Israel Arvanitas with wife Holly and great grandchildren Lillian and Aiden.

Her ashes will rest with her beloved husband on October 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Aultorest Memorial Park. Services will be at the cemetery for the family.

Seward D Nichols, Jr. “Nick”, 91, was called to Heaven on October 1, 2021. He was born on November 18, 1929 to Seward D Nichols Sr and Evelyn Marie Roberts in Oneonta, New York. He married Edna “Grace” Myers on October 11, 1956 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Nick was a loving father and devoted husband. He was raised in the reception system and was eventually adopted at the age of 25 by Sidney and Annamae Glowka. He was a Korean War USMC veteran and a survivor of the Battle of Frozen Chosin. He was a drilling instructor on the Île de Paris. Nick graduated from Eckert College with a BA in Theology. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and the VFW. He was also a High Priest, a Scout Leader, and a Gospel Doctrine Teacher. Nick loved baseball, bowling and sailing. He is survived by his daughter Penny Arvanitas and his son-in-law Woodrow Arvanitas; grandson Jared Arvanitas and great grandchildren Jayson and Kyleah. grandson Israel Arvanitas with wife Holly and great grandchildren Lillian and Aiden.

His ashes will rest with his beloved wife on October 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Aultorest Memorial Park. Services will be at the cemetery for the family.
