1938 — 2022

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Clara Evelyn Street Jackson, was called to her heavenly home on October 17, 2022. She was born September 22, 1938 in Ogden, UT to James and Clara Street. She married Keith B. Jackson on June 27, 1957. Their marriage was blessed with 5 children. They then divorced.

Evelyn earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Weber State College. She received her master’s degree from Utah State University.

Our mother and grandmother always remembered every birthday and gave the most magical gifts. We loved his laughter and his warm hugs. It was always special to have dinner with her at Maddox and Taggart’s Grill. She taught us to be creative and always have fun. She has always encouraged us in all our undertakings. She changed so many lives and helped many people throughout her many years as a schoolteacher at Morgan.

Evelyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving others, especially through her church service. She served in many callings, including Relief Society and Young Women.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Blain (Susan), Brad (Glenda) and Bruce (Sue); sisters Linda Jernigan and Sherry Smith; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Jill and Janae; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service for Evelyn will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT with a prior visitation from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Farr West Stake Center, 2132 W. 2700 N., Farr West , UT.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Myers Mortuary of Ogden.
