Franz Ferdinand brings the “Hits” to Boston

The best way to make a Monday feel like a Friday is a heavy dose of Franz Ferdinand. The Scottish band arrives in Boston tonight (August 15) to play House of Blues, and they’re bringing nearly 20 years of dancefloor indie bangers with them, all wrapped up nicely via March’s Head shots compilation. So we’re destined to get all the jams on Lansdowne – ‘Michael’, ‘Take Me Out’, ‘Do You Want To’, and probably everything in between – plus a great show from one of the top indie showmen, Alex Kapranos . Boston threesome Vundabar draw opening rights, so there’s local pizzazz on the bill as well. Remember tomorrow is Tuesday, not Saturday, so treat the bar with respect because ‘The Dark of the Matinée’ takes you to the dance floor and that 20-year-old mindset that haunts your quarantine comes back in full force at through Jack. and Coke. Check out the greatest hits below to reconnect, check out the remaining dates from this latest barnburner tour, and browse Ben Stas’ 2018 photo gallery for a visual preview of Franz Ferdinand’s live experience.
