1936 — 2022

After an incredible 85-year journey, Dana Judith Doyle Crase left her earthly existence on Monday, October 24, 2022 to be united once again with her beloved husband, James LeRoy Crase.

On December 22, 1936, at her grandparents’ home in Farr West, Utah, Judy was born to Daniel James and Helen Rosamond Lindstrom Doyle. She was raised in Farr West, educated at Weber County Schools, and graduated from Weber High School in 1955.

Judy worked at the Vetas Dairy Bar, where she met Jim. They were married in Coleville, Utah on June 22, 1955. Their marriage was then solemnized at the Ogden Temple on March 11, 1995. After Jim enlisted in the United States Air Force, Judy l joined in many duty stations across the United States. where five of their seven children joined their family. Judy’s favorite service tour was overseas in Fontainebleau, France.

In 1966 they returned to Ogden where they established their permanent residence. This is where Judy began her career at Smith’s Food King as a Controller. She quickly progressed to accounting and retired in 1998.

Judy was a remarkably accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting, embroidering, exploring a variety of crafts, decorating for the holidays, collecting coin sets, working in her yard, mountain biking, camping, traveling, rocking, reunite as a family and help care for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her children: Dana (Robert) Bills of Ogden, Helen (Lane) Stromberg of Washington, Utah, Marcia (Doug) Phillips of Florissant, Colorado and William Crase of Ogden. She was also blessed to be able to enjoy and be part of the lives of 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, three of their children: Edith, James and DeJay, her parents and all of her siblings: William, Mary, Edith, Daniel Jr and Helen.

So many angels have been a part of Judy’s life and cared for her during the last part of her journey. His family is forever grateful for each of them and for the tender and loving care they continued to provide.

Judy’s funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Myer’s Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd in Ogden. His family will meet with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. before his service. His interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 100 Monroe Blvd., Ogden.
