New chef for the captive EIM

Florida-based Energy Insurance Mutual (EIM) has announced that Megan Ogden will be the new COO of its Captive Protected Cell Energy Insurance Services (EIS). She will succeed Randy Martin upon his retirement at the end of March 2022.

Ogden comes from another subsidiary of EIM, Energy Captive Management (ECM), which provides administrative support to participants in the EIS Mutual Business program. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Marsh Captive Solutions and Office Manager of JLT Insurance Management in Charleston, South Carolina.

“Megan brings a powerful combination of skills and experience to this role. She has solid expertise in the fields of alternative insurance, finance and business development. She has also established meaningful relationships with EIS participants and in the captive community, having recently served as President of the South Carolina Captive Insurance Association, ”said Tommy Bolton, President and CEO of EIM.

Martin has been EIS COO since 2015. Under his leadership, EIS has developed a unique, insurance-backed catastrophe bond for forest fire compensation and other alternative risk solutions on measure for IST participants. He trained five new cells and recorded gross premium growth of 48%.
