Gerald “Jerry” Charles Barron

Gerald “Jerry”, Charles Barron, 62, of Adrian, formerly of Temperance and Newport, MI, died Thursday, January 27, 2022. He will be inducted Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Ogden Church, Adrian, MI, of 10 AM until services at 11 a.m. Pastor Brandon Rickard will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Born September 26, 1959 in Monroe, MI. Jerry was the son of Robert and Shirley (Wiseman) Barron. He graduated from Airport High School in 1977. He married Debra Mallow on January 3, 1980, at Monroe Methodist Church. He owned and operated Barron Insurance Agency, Temperance, MI, retiring in 2020. He donated a kidney several years ago to save a young man’s life.

Jerry passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. His love for life, family and friends was evident in everything he did. More importantly, her love for Jesus and her service to others left an endless legacy. From coaching his kids in sports to serving on countless committees and boards, Jerry put his heart and soul into everything he did. There is no doubt that Debra was the love of his life. Married for 42 years, they have built an incredible life together raising 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Their house was always full of joy, love and laughter! Jerry always talked about the joy of going to heaven and hearing “well done my good and faithful servant”. He will always be loved and missed here on earth.

Survivors include: his wife, Debra; mother, Shirley; children, Beky (Jeff) Wiles, Amanda (Kelly) Mills, Kristen (Ryan) Nusbaum, Sean (Meghan) Barron; siblings, Bob (Carol) Barron, Brad (Alice) Barron, Jeff (Debbie) Barron, Pam (Rob) Lindsey, Todd (Tricia) Barron and grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Zakkary, Zoey-Lynn, Sadie, Kyle and Shelby. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Barron.
